Sufficient integration to promote functioning and lack of distress while individual fragments remain

Partial Integration

Some of the alter egos/fragments get fused so there are fewer of them, and the ones remaining manage to function through cooperation in an integrated rather than dissociative way

Complete Integration or Fusion

All fragments integrate to form a whole. Though this is the ideal treatment outcome, it is very rare and most DID patients never reach this stage.
