Action Systems: Daily Life (ANP) and Defenses (ENP)

In Ellert Nijenhuis’ work, an action system is an evolutionarily developed psychobiological system that organizes perception, emotion, cognition, and behavior toward a specific survival goal.  See two videos I've created on the topic, below.  Part 1 is on action systems of daily life (or ANP) such as "tend & befriend" and "rest & digest," and Part 2 is on action systems of defense - the fight or flight continuum - and shame (which is not an action system per se).
